Baby & Toddler Care
Our Baby & Toddler Room provides a warm and nurturing environment for our youngest children.

Children’s needs change enormously during their early years.
Our nursery environment and approach are designed to support children throughout these different stages while recognising that every child’s development is individual.

As children grow, so does their desire to explore, communicate and become more independent.

Our Baby & Toddler Room provides a warm and nurturing environment for our youngest children.
We understand how important it is for babies and toddlers to develop secure, trusting relationships with the adults caring for them. Our team takes time to get to know each child’s personality, routines and individual needs.
Through sensory experiences, movement, songs, stories, messy play, outdoor experiences and plenty of interaction, babies and toddlers are given opportunities to explore and develop naturally.
Most importantly, we want our youngest children to feel safe, settled, loved and secure while they are in our care.

Our Preschool Room provides an engaging environment where children can follow their interests, make choices and learn through meaningful play and experiences.
Children are supported to develop their communication, confidence, independence, friendships and physical skills while beginning to understand more about themselves and the world around them.
Our practitioners observe and respond to children’s interests, providing opportunities that encourage curiosity rather than placing unnecessary limits on where their learning can take them.

We believe some of the most meaningful learning happens when children are given the freedom and confidence to investigate the things that interest them.
Our practitioners create an enabling environment, providing resources, experiences and sensitive support that allow children’s ideas and interests to develop.
We follow the Curriculum for funded non-maintained nursery settings in Wales, supporting children’s learning and development through authentic, purposeful and playful experiences.

Outdoor play is an important part of children’s wellbeing, learning and physical development.
Our outdoor learning garden provides opportunities to explore nature, investigate, create, experiment and enjoy child-led learning in a different environment.
Our garden and patio areas also provide space for active play and the development of gross motor skills such as running, balancing, climbing, coordination and movement.
We encourage children to experience and enjoy the outdoors as an extension of their everyday learning environment.
Children from our nursery move on to a number of different primary schools within our local community.
Rather than trying to make preschool feel like school, we support children in developing the underlying skills that can help them approach their next step confidently.
These include independence, communication, confidence, friendships, managing routines and developing a positive attitude towards learning and new experiences.
